San Francisco: Amazon on Wednesday announced the launch of its Prime Day on June 21-22 in select countries and again to support small business selling partners amid the pandemic.
Prime members will be offered over 2 million deals across categories, including fashion, electronics, toys, home decor, automotive, and more, during the two-day shopping event, the company said in a statement.
Prime Day is open to members in the US, UK, UAE, Turkey, Spain, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, Portugal, Netherlands, Mexico, Luxembourg, Japan, Italy, Germany, France, China, Brazil, Belgium, Austria. and Australia.
“Sellers will be offering more than a million deals this Prime Day, and for two weeks up to the shopping event, Amazon will be offering a $10 credit to use on Prime Day on select U.S. small business products and brands at Amazon. Spend $10. Store,” the company said.
Customers can earn credits from June 7-20.
Third-party sellers represent about 60 percent of sales on Amazon.
In 2020, Amazon invested more than $18 billion across its logistics network, tools, services, programs and teams to help sellers in Amazon’s stores thrive.
“This Prime Day, we want to celebrate our partnership with small businesses and empower them to reach more customers and grow even more with Amazon,” the company said.
